<p><strong>The <a href="http://OPENLIFE.ng">Federal Government</a> has distanced self from the arrest of <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Alhaji Tukur Mamu</a>, lead negotiator between bandits and the passengers kidnapped from a <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Kaduna-bound train</a> in March.</strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://Openlife.ng">Openlife Nigeria</a> </strong>reports that Mamu who is also the publisher of Desert Herald Newspaper in Kaduna was arrested on his way to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj.</p>
<p>He was detained at the Cairo International Airport for 24 hours and is being repatriated back to Nigeria.</p>
<p>Reacting to the development, Minister of information and Culture Lai Mohammed distanced the federal government from the arrest of the lead negotiator.</p>
<p>Mohammed said this while responding to questions from State house correspondents at the end of the weekly meeting of the executive council of the federal government on Wednesday.</p>
