OpenLife reports that Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba, popularly known as Laycon, winner of the 2020 Big Brother Naija season, has revealed that he temporarily lost touch with his inner voice following his reality show triumph.

In a video segment titled Life With Laycon, the rapper described how the sudden fame and attention disrupted his ability to connect with his own thoughts.

Reflecting on that period, Laycon asked, “Has the world ever gone silent on you and all you have left was your own thoughts?”

It wasn’t until December 2021, after his sold-out The Icons Fest concert, that he began hearing his inner voice again. “After winning Big Brother Naija in 2020, I lost my inner voice. I first heard it again in December 2021, following my sold-out concert, The Icons Fest,”
he explained.

The return of his inner voice brought difficult questions.

“‘Is this really how you want to live? Are you happy? What comes next?’” Laycon said, adding that these reflections pushed him to spend time alone, evaluating his choices and life direction.
He urged his followers not to fear silence or solitude, noting that introspection often exposes uncomfortable truths.

Laycon described quiet reflection as a mirror that highlights what needs to change and a critical step toward accountability, growth, and self-understanding.
