EFCC Arrests Suspended City Boys Women Leader Halimat  Tejuosho

 

 

OpenLife News reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the suspended South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women wing of the City Boy Movement, Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest to TheCable on Saturday, September 27, saying she was taken into custody on September 8.

Her arrest comes months after the commission declared her wanted in April over an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.

Declared Wanted In April

In April 2026, the EFCC declared the 41-year-old wanted, identifying her as an indigene of Lagos State with last known address at House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja, and appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact its offices. a000

The Allegation: Appointment and Contract Scam

Tejuosho, founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, had previously been investigated in June 2025 after complaints that she allegedly collected money from individuals on the promise of securing federal government appointments and contracts for them.

According to EFCC, the investigation centred on allegations that she used purported appointment letters and forged documents to convince victims she could facilitate government appointments and contracts. She was then granted administrative bail while investigation continued. 4573

Suspension By City Boy Movement

Following her declaration as wanted, the City Boy Movement — a political support group loyal to President Bola Tinubu — suspended her as its South-West women leader.

The group said the suspension took immediate effect pending the outcome of the investigation and would allow the process to continue “without interference, obstruction, or undue influence,” describing it as an administrative measure to protect its image and credibility. 4573

She remains in EFCC custody as investigation continues.
