OpenLife reports that tension surrounding Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and cleric Chris Okafor has taken a dramatic turn, following claims by the actress that police officers appeared at her residence under unclear circumstances.

 

In a video that has since gained attention online, Ogala appeared visibly shaken as she described the situation unfolding around her. According to her, the presence of the officers was both unexpected and unsettling, leaving her questioning how they gained access to her home.

 

“I have police people in my house, I do not know where they are coming from. I do not know how they entered my house,” she said.

The actress linked the incident directly to her prolonged dispute with the cleric, alleging that he has continued to pursue legal actions against her across multiple jurisdictions.

 

“I have police in my house. They say they are from Lagos. Chris does not want to leave me alone. He has carried me to three courts. Now, he has taken me to more than seven police stations. There is one in zone 2. There is one in Abuja zone 7.

 

Chris is the one sending them. They have surrounded my house. If you people do not see me again, you should hold Chris Okafor,” she added.

 

The conflict between both figures dates back to last year, when Ogala publicly claimed she had been in a relationship with the cleric since 2017. She alleged that she made major personal sacrifices based on promises of a future together, including ending her previous marriage.

 

The situation escalated after the cleric went on to marry another woman, Pearl Okafor, a move that intensified the disagreement.

 

Ogala later demanded either marriage or financial compensation, reportedly placing a ₦1 billion claim on the matter.

Adding to the controversy were her serious allegations linking the cleric to the death of her brother, a claim that drew widespread reactions and further complicated the dispute.

 

Despite the ongoing tension, Chris Okafor proceeded with his wedding ceremonies. While he initially addressed the situation by dismissing her claims and later issuing a brief apology, he eventually withdrew it, leaving the matter unresolved.

 

With both sides maintaining their positions, the situation continues to evolve, drawing public attention with each new development.
