<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that a crime expert, Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo has assumed office as the 34th Commissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Ikoyi-Lagos.</p>
<p>In a statement signed by DSP Ovie Kenneth Ewhubare and made available to OpenLife, Okpoziakpo resumed office following his redeployment by the IGP from the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja.</p>
<p>According to the statement, Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Jos and a Master’s Degree in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, had worked in different segments of Police crime sections before the fresh assignment.</p>
<p>Specifically, the crime expert had served as <em><strong>“Team Manager, Cybercrimes and Internet Fraud Section; Team Manager, Banking Fraud Section; Team Manager, Anti-Money Laundering Section; and Team Manager, General Investigation Section, all within the Police Special Fraud Unit.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>&#8220;He also served as Officer-in-Charge, Police Dedicated Electronic and Card Crime Fraud Unit (<a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">PDECFU</a>); Head, Special Investigation Unit (SIU); Coordinator, AMCON Task Force; and Head, Cryptography and Cybercrime Unit/Counter Intelligence Unit (CIU) under the Force Intelligence Department (FID).</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>“Furthermore, CP Okpoziakpo served as Head of the Operations Team of Special Investigators in the investigation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other key national institutions, including NIRSAL, AMCON, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), among others.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>“Prior to his current posting, he was the Commissioner of Police (Training) at the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, Abuja.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>“A seasoned and highly experienced police officer, CP Okpoziakpo has served with distinction in various capacities, recording notable investigative breakthroughs throughout his illustrious career. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, diligence, and leadership while occupying several strategic positions across <a href="https://openlife.ng/">The Nigeria Police Force</a>,”</strong></em> the statement said.</p>
<p><em><strong>&#8220;In his maiden address, CP Okpoziakpo emphasized strict adherence to professionalism, accountability, and operational discipline, directing that all cases must be vetted by the Legal Section before prosecution, and properly documented with timely reports. </strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>The CP directs that long pending cases must be reviewed to prevent delays in justice delivery. He further stressed that arbitrary arrests will not be tolerated, and that performance must be measurable through reports on prosecutions and convictions.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong> Reiterating the Inspector General of Police’s zero tolerance for corruption, the CP underscored the need to respect suspects’ fundamental human rights.</strong></em></p>
