Chief John Azuta Mbata Has The Capacity

OpenLife Nigeria reports that yet again, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos, has reaffirmed his loyalty and commitments to the administration of Chief  John Azuta Mbata as the President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

In this interview, he throws light into other issues in the Igbo apex socio-cultural organization

Sir, Chief Azuta Mbata has been accepted by Ndigbo stakeholders as President General Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. What are your expectations as President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos?

First of all, I congratulate my brother, Chief John Azuta Mbata on his emergence as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

He deserves my congratulations because I believe in him.

My sincere joy is that he is a lawyer and he understands the law and the consequence of disobedience to valid court judgements.

However, my most concern is for peace to reign in Lagos Ohanaeze Ndigbo. The day I visited Femi Falana, SAN, I showed him my court documents yet someone is parading himself as president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos.

He laughed and said “You are a good man. You really love your people. Are you sure someone is parading himself as Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos President despite these court papers?

“If it is true, the person who is parading himself as president wants to use his hands to imprison himself.”
I remember when they came to do the kangaroo election even when a Consent Judgement has been issued to me by a Lagos High Court to complete my tenure.

They convinced one Barrister to contest as legal adviser and that what I have is court order and not judgement.

After the election and their elected legal adviser saw the Consent Judgement in my favour , he just resigned and said he will not be part of illegality.
In one of the meetings, he said no socio-cultural organization’s constitution is bigger than Nigerian constitution.

He said to them that the judgment has to be vacated before he can be part of them.
He said that no matter how one obtains judgement, the judgement has to be vacated before any other thing can fly in that situation.

Also, all my Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos local government chairmen in the 57 local government areas have been angry with me for not picking up the man who is parading himself as President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos under a Consent Judgment.

I told them to wait and that God will take position one day and the needful will be done. Today, God has given us a President General who is a Senator and a lawyer.

You cannot bribe such a man. Any human being you cannot bribe is also a man who will not listen to blackmailing. A man who doesn’t take bribe will always do his findings before taking decision.

Chief John Azuta Mbata is made.

In my finding, he is a business man and a man of integrity. Such person is not someone you can bribe.
Now, there have been issues in Lagos which I believe that as a lawyer, our President General is going to look into it and resolve it once and for all.

I will not apportion much blames to the past president, late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, because those jobless members in Lagos were feeding him with lots of lies and blackmailing.

But that did not stop late Iwuanyanwu to name me a “capacity president of Ohanaeze,” immediately he saw my Consent Judgement.

One of the ways these jobless members begin their blackmail is once they get the president general’s phone number, they will be begin to call him and if he doesn’t pick, they will begin to send SMS.
90 percent of their communication is to blackmail someone.

They have no idea of what they can do to move Ohanaeze Ndigbo forward.

If they follow the new President to two or three places and there is no money to share, they will tag him a useless President and that Professor Obiozor or Iwuanyanwu is far better than him. That is the work of those few men in Lagos.

Call them anytime even around 3am in the night, they are available. They feel that the only way to pursue favour is to blackmail their fellow human being.

The first day I heard that Chief John Azuta Mbata is a lawyer, I was dancing in my room because there will be nothing like ignorance of the law in his regime.

Ndigbo has gotten it right by having Chief John Azuta Mbata as President General worldwide.
But my most advise to him is that whenever people come to tell him about someone, he should try as much as possible to communicate with that person they came to blackmail. That is the plan ‘A’ of any quality leader in the world.

Secondly, he should try as much as possible to bring every faction together. But any group that refuses to co operate based on justice, he should leave them to face God.

Overall, Chief John Azuta Mbata has the capacity, intelligence, charisma and global network to lead  Ndigbo to the promised land.
