OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has shared refreshing insight into her personal life, revealing the kind of relationships she avoids and what she is open to when it comes to love.
Speaking during an appearance on the I Said What I Said podcast, the actress did not hold back as she described her experience navigating the dating scene in Lagos.
According to her, attention from admirers is far from scarce.
“Men have audacity. If I open my DMs for you, you will see a lot,” she said, highlighting the constant influx of messages she receives.
Despite the attention, Aladese admitted that dating in Lagos can be overwhelming.
She described it as “stressful” and “a very big mess,” though she made it clear that her own experiences haven’t been particularly negative.
“I have never had a terrible date. It is just that after the first date, I already know that you will never see me again,” she explained, suggesting she often makes quick decisions about compatibility.
The actress also spoke firmly about her preferences within the entertainment industry.
She revealed that while she is open to relationships with certain professionals in filmmaking, actors are completely off her list.
“I don’t want to date an actor. I wouldn’t mind the upper echelons like producers, directors, but actors are a no for me,” she stated.
Her comments offer a glimpse into the realities of modern dating from the perspective of a public figure, balancing attention, personal standards, and the unique dynamics of life in the spotlight.
