Buratai Scales Down Activities For Son’s Wedding Ceremony

<p><em>Buratai Scales down son’s wedding activities in compliance with COVID 19 protocols<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that the Chief of Army Staff &lpar;COAS&rpar;&comma; Lt-Gen&period; Tukur Buratai&comma; has informed dignitaries scheduled to grace his son&comma; Mr Hamisu Tukur Buratai wedding ceremony that he will be unable to personally attend to&comma; receive or meet them at the event&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While regretting the inconvenience&comma; the Acting Director Army Public Relations&comma; Brigadier General Sagir Musa on behalf of the COAS said&comma; an officer who participated in the cancelled Chief of Army Staff 2020 annual conference tested positive to COVID 19&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He said&comma; &&num;8220&semi;This is to inform Your Excellencies&comma; Your Royal Highnesses&comma; Distinguished Senators&comma; Honourable Members&comma; Respected Elders&comma; Friends&comma; Brothers&comma; Sisters and other Invited Guests that due to resurgence of COVID 19 Pandemic in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja in what appears to be a second wave of infection cycle and the unfortunate incident on Tuesday 8 December 2020&comma; where an officer participating in the ongoing Chief of Army Staff&&num;8217&semi;s Annual Conference 2020 here in Abuja tested positive to COVID 19&comma; which resulted in the cancellation of the remaining activities of the conference and all the participants mandated to immediately proceed on self isolation in line with the <strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Federal<&sol;a><&sol;strong> Government&&num;8217&semi;s protocol for COVID 19 and to prevent any further spread of the disease&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Buratai maintained that the activities earlier scheduled for the wedding will proceed as arranged&period; All participants of the conference have been mandated to immediately proceed on self isolation in line with the Federal Government&&num;8217&semi;s protocol for COVID 19 and to prevent any further spread of the disease&period; Also&comma; they will not be part of the event&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Chief of Army Staff&comma; on behalf of his family&comma; appreciated all dignitaries who will be coming from different locations to witness the wedding fathia&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
