Ben Ayade has perfected plans to join the All Progressives Congress, APC
OpenLife Nigeria can reports that governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has perfected plans to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria.
An authoritative source confirmed to OpenLife Nigeria that Governor Ben Ayade has been promised a ministerial job in the envisaged post 2023 victory of the APC in the federal cabinet.
This promise depends largely if Ben Ayade deploys his incumbency influence to deliver the State to APC in the 2023 elections.
He has also been promised “a no probe” by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC if “he commits his loyalty to APC victory.”
“He has concluded plans to join APC. The only problem he is currently having is his followers. Some of his cabinet commissioners are not ready to leave with him to APC. Same thing with some of the Assembly members,” OpenLife credible source stated.
However, OpenLife Nigeria gathered that governor Ben Ayade has mobilized Betta Edu, his commissioner for Health to embark on the recruitment drive and lure “recalcitrant officers into the APC project.
Betta Edu was the governor’s former Director General, Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency CRSPHCDA as well as his former special Adviser on Community health.
Betta Edu who is believed to exude much influence and respects within and outside government circles has been told to deliver the governor’s message in clear terms; “Join or get sack.”
OpenLife Nigeria’s source further hinted that governor Ben Ayade, the 3rd democraticalled elected governor of the State since 1999 on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is billed to met President Muhammadu Buhari soon for the defection blessings and assurance.
