OpenLife Nigeria reports that Spicemas, as it is popularly known, is one of the most fast paced and anticipated annual events in Grenada.
Grenada is a Caribbean country in the North America Continent, comprising a main island, also called Grenada, and smaller surrounding islands. It is dubbed the “Spice Isle.”

Reveling in the island glory with the annual Spicemas, the annual Spicemas enables
expatriates from all across the world and locals flock to the streets, blanketed in a layer of body paint and horns, more commonly called the Jab Jabs dance, and frolic about with the blaring drums, steel, and DJs.
They sometimes drench unsuspecting bystanders with similar body paint.
Behold the throngs of people brimming into the square from the top of the hill, there is also a vision of infernal festivity, evoked by the wonderful predawn twilight, the streetlights, the flames and smoke from the torches, the heart pounding DJ music blended with a couple of enormous steel bands mounted on carts.
The jab-jab bands had broken apart into a variety of bacchanal performances and street dance exploits visitors cannot escape from as the rhythm is everywhere, at all times.
This unique annual carnival is a world of color and fun!
