<p>OpenLife Nigeria reports that following the discovery of sack load Permanent Voters Card, PVC in a forest in Anambra State by hunters, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Thursday, revealed the actual number of PVCs that have been collected.<br />
A yet-to-be-identified hunter found the bag in the forest and subsequently took it to the premises of a radio station, Authority FM.<br />
The Anambra Police Command on Wednesday ordered an investigation to unravel the circumstances behind the discovery of the bag full of Permanent Voter Cards in the Akamili community forest</p>
<p>However, in what seems a reaction, INEC has said 87,209,007 permanent voter cards (PVC) have been collected across the country.</p>
<p>Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairperson, announced the development on Thursday during a media briefing at the national collation centre in Abuja.</p>
