<p>Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has appointed Amope Ajibola Chokor as the new Head of Service in the State. The former Head of Service, Engineer Lanre Bisiriyu, alongside 11 Permanent Secretaries, have bowed out of the public service . An elaborate valedictory programme was organised to mark their retirement from active service, where Gov. Abiodun promised to apply merit in the appointment of Engr Bisiriyu&#8217;s successor. </p>



<p>According to the Governor, the State has a legacy of
excellence to protect in its public service that produced the likes of Chief
Simeon Adebo and A.K Degun of blessed memory. ;</p>



<p>A statement by Kunle Somorin, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, made Available to OpenLife correspondent in Ogun stated that &#8220;The Ogun State Government, under Governor Abiodun knows that TPL Chokor, who has proven over the years to understand the system, would put to use her vast knowledge in the management of the State Civil Service and also maintain the high standard that the service is known for.&#8221; Amope Ajibola Chokor comes into her new position with impeccable pedigree and service record.</p>



<p>An accomplished town planner and administrator, she hails from Imapa Quarters at Ota, in Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government area of the State. Until her appointment, Mrs Chokor (nee Bankole) was Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service Commission. The appointment takes immediate effect.</p>
