Lagos&comma; has ordered interim forfeiture of three landed property and two vehicles belonging to Akintayo Ebenezer Ogunleye and his two companies&semi; Bethsaida Investment Partners Limited and Hartfield Investment Limited&comma; for being acquired with proceeds of unlawful activities&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Justice Bogoro made interim forfeiture orders of the landed properties and the two vehicles&comma; while granting a motion Exparte filed and moved by Barrister Justine Enang&comma; a Chief Superintendent of Police &lpar;CSP&rpar; with Police Special Fraud Unit &lpar;PSFU&rpar; Ikoyi Lagos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The landed properties and the two vehicles ordered for interim forfeiture are&colon; a landed property of mixed used for &lpar;Mass Housing Report And Projects&rpar; at &lpar;FCT&rpar;&comma; Abuja&semi; a landed property along Ayede Aloba Alapake Road&comma; Off lwo Road&comma; idi-omoh Ayede area&comma; Egbeda&comma; local government&comma; Oyo State&comma; with plan number&colon; OY&sol;2162&sol;2022&sol;001&semi; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">landed property located at plot 403<&sol;a> and 473&comma; Uganda Street&comma; Queens Estate Karsana District Gwarimpa&comma; FCT&comma; Abuja&semi; a Toyota Corolla with registration number JJJ 113JA and with CHASSIS number 2TIBU4EEOCC839018&comma; and Lexus 2000 Model&comma; registration number KRD 842 GQ&comma; Chassis JTHBKIEJ3B2436166&comma; listed in schedule A attached with the motion exparte&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The judge also ordered the applicant&comma; Police Special Fraud Unit PSFU Ikoyi Lagos&comma; to advertise the Interim forfeiture orders in any national newspapers&comma; for any interested person to show cause why the properties should not be finally forfeited&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In ordering the interim forfeiture of the above listed properties&comma; Justice Bogoro ruled that&colon; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;and upon reading the affidavit in support of the Motion Ex-parte sworn to by Inspector Tope Akelere&comma; Male&comma; Christian&comma; Nigerian and a Police Officer attached to the Police Special Fraud Unit&comma; 13 Milverton Road&comma; ikoyi&comma; Lagos and filed at the Federal High Court Registry&comma; Ikoyi&comma; Lagos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;And after hearing J&period; I&period; Enang&comma; Counsel for the prosecution move in terms of the application&comma; Motion dated 8th December&comma; 2025 is granted as prayed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It is hereby ordered as follows&colon; That an order is granted for an Interim forfeiture of the landed property specified in Schedule A of this Motion believed to have been acquired by the proceed of an unlawful act to wit&colon; obtaining money by false pretence to the Nigeria Police Force&comma; through the Commissioner of Police&comma; Police Special Fraud Unit&comma; 13&comma; Milverton Road&comma; Ikoyi&comma; <strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Lagos<&sol;a><&sol;strong>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;That an order is granted to advertise the Interim Forfeiture Order of this Honourable Court in One of the National Newspaper&period;”&comma;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It would be recall that the defendant&comma; Tayo Ogunleye and his companies are currently facing 21 counts criminal charge of conspiracy&comma; obtaining by false pretence and N452 million fraud&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He is being prosecuted by the PSFU on the alleged offences of investing money in real estate and online forex investments between 2020 and 2023&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Those allegedly defrauded and the amounts are&colon; Adetoro Afonja&comma; N75 million&semi; Mabel Bade Ojeikere&comma; N14 million&semi; Kanayo Christian Chigbo&comma; N25 million&semi; Olusola Kehinde Ogundiji&comma; N107 million&semi; Olumide Afolabi Fasugba&comma; N35 million&semi; Ade Emmanuel Moses Oluboade&comma; N11 million&semi; Adebanjo Esther Olayinka&comma; N13&period;6 million&semi; Adebanjo Kolawole&comma; N2 million and Adebanjo Ruth Tolaniji&comma; N120&comma;000&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Others are&colon; Victor Eyefia&comma; N50 million&semi; Eyefia Oluwatosin Oladimeji&comma; N5 million&semi; Ibukun Mayadenu&comma; N30 million&semi; Adefisan Olanrewaju&comma; N15 million&semi; Augustine Ohikenena&comma; N20 million&semi; Adeola Adeshewa Cola&comma; N20 million&semi; Shopefoluwa Balogun&comma; N40 million&semi; Dada Olufunke Olufolarin&comma; N15&period;7 million&semi; Ajia Ogugua&comma; N30 million and Adeola Owolabi&comma; N7&comma;945 million&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The offences according to the prosecutor&comma; Barrister Justice Enang&comma; are contrary to Sections 8&lpar;a&rpar; and 1&lpar;1&rpar;&lpar;a&rpar;&comma; and are punishable under Section 1&lpar;3&rpar;&lpar;a&rpar; of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act No&period; 14 of 2006&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He had denied the allegations and admitted to bail by the court&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Meanwhile&comma; further hearing of both the final forfeiture of the properties and the defendant’s trial has been adjourned to February 19&comma; 2026&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
