AIG Zanna Mohammed has developed conducive learning environment for Cadets in Police Academy
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Assistant Inspector General of Police, POLAC, Wudil, Kano is elevating the standards of the Police training institution through numerous developmental initiatives.
This was made known through a statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Nafiu Habib, the Academy spokesman.
According to Habib, AIG Zanna Mohammed was assigned the Commandant of the Academy in 2019 and within two years, he initiated and executed many projects including but not limited to increased welfare allowance for Cadets; regular water, electricity supply; standard presidential photo pavilion; presidential stand and
completed iconic CBN projects.
Habib who stated that AIG Zanna Mohammed was deployed on POLAC on February 2, 2019 by Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, further noted that the Commandant has rehabilitated
Cadet hostels, clinic, central store, works department and harmonized working relationships between police and academic wings for efficiency.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Academy who describes AIG Zanna as “Experienced, principled and practical officer,” further explained that he
has introduced colours to various courses for easy identification; admitted 1,400 7th Regular Course Cadets and constructed standards faculties and administrative blocks in Law, Management Science, Intelligence Directorate , Cyber Crime etc and Students Affairs building.
The Commandant, he added, has also improved sport facilities, upgraded parade ground to international standards and successfully gained accreditation of 15 out of 17 courses offered in POLAC from National Universities Commission, NUC.
Besides, Habib disclosed that AIG Zanna has created environmental harmony by employing large number of adhoc staff from the host community and successfully conducted Computer Based Test, CBT for RC8 intake, first in the history of both NDA and POLAC.
Said he: “AIG Zanna is promoting optimal standards through regulated checks on all functionalities. There are hall officers and matrons. There are
periodic checks for drugs and unwanted pregnancies. Host community can access POLAC cottage hospital. Resources persons are invited for graduating cadets. He successfully hosted President Muhammadu Buhari during the historical Regular Course 2 Passing Out Parade among others,” he stressed.
