OpenLife Nigeria reports that Advocacy for Good Governance, AGG, a non governmental organization, NGO, dedicated to the re creation of Edo State potential for the growth and prosperity of present and full generations, on Saturday, October 15 held its local maiden meeting in Benin City.
The Benin City meeting was a follow up of the previous meetings by Edo Diasporas in Japan.
At the meeting, the three senatorial districts of Edo State were represented by individuals with unassailable track records of integrity and commitments to a better Edo State.
To serve as interface for the global AGG in Asia, local interim executives were elected.
The interim elected executives were:
Honourable Charles Imuentinyan, Chairman; Mr. Fidelis Anenih, Secretary; Musa Nurudeen, Treasurer and Mrs. Queen Ogbeide Women Leader.
Other elected executives were Miss Grace Lucky, Financial Secretary; Paul Edomwonyi, Public Relations Officer and Imhoede Miracle, Youth Leader.
The list includes Orhue Richard, Special Adviser on Field Operations cum Intelligence Gathering; Jeff Adaba, ex officio for Development Intelligence Mapping and Osas Oghogho, Special Adviser on Technical Intelligence Application.
Among other responsibilities, the local executives would be engaging policies and issues that inhibit impact developments across Council Areas in Edo State.
Speaking at the meeting , Honourable Charles Imuentinyan who accepted his role as the chairman promised to serve diligently. He assured members that he would discharge his duties effectively throughout his tenure and ensure that the objectives of the organization are met.
Fidelis Anenih, congratulated all the elected and non elected executives. He expressed joy at the opportunity availed to him to belong to such an internationally recognized organization.
He noted that countries and institutions including individuals are looking for voices. He therefore described the AGG as the authentic voice that can speak in the Edo wilderness and promised to add his voice without reservation.
Other newly elected excos and members including Osaigbovo Edosa and Itaba Sylvester Kelly from
Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, spoke in similar pattern.
They promised to begin engagements with leaders and stakeholders across Edo State socio-traditional, economic and governance spectrum for the needed rebirth and elimination of development bottlenecks.
Earlier, Mr. Kelvin Jones and Mr. Benson Ehiagwina who both spoke to the audience from Japan assured the members of the unwavering commitment to ensure that developments in Asia are gradually replicated in Edo through constructive dialogue and engagements with relevant stakeholders.
