<h4>African Leading Philanthropist&comma; Alhaji Amadu&comma; Supports Girls High School<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that African leading philanthropist&comma; Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu&comma; Group Chairman&comma; Afro Arab Group of Companies&comma; has made a pledge to build teacher’s bungalow in Accra Girls High School&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The Afro Arab Group Chairman made the pledge at the 62nd Speech and Prize giving day of Accra Girls Senior High School&period; He was at the event with Dr&period; Daniel Mckorley&comma; Group Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies and many others to celebrate Accra Girls At 62&period; The school is situated in Maamobi&comma; Accra&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu&comma; in his remarks&comma; noted that it was a great honour to be part of the 62nd Speech and Prize giving day of Accra Girls Senior High School&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8220&semi;I was elated and honoured to be a special guest at the just ended 62nd Speech and Prize giving day celebration of Accra Girls Senior High School with one of my Mentors Dr&period; Daniel Mckorley&comma; Group Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies with my good friend and brother&comma; Deputy Minister of Education Hon&period; Rev Ntim-Forjour&&num;8221&semi;&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He added that the most powerful tool you can give a person is education&comma; He then appealed to the Ministry of Education and all stakeholders not to limit education in the classrooms only&period;&&num;8221&semi;The most powerful tool you can give a person is education&period; If you educate&comma; you empower&period; Like I always say education should not be limited to only the classroom&period; An educated girl child grows into a literate woman who has a greater chance of breaking the cycle of poverty&comma; being more productive&comma; and boosting the standard of living for herself&comma; her children and family&comma; as well as the society at large&&num;8221&semi;&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8220&semi;It is always a pleasure to support the only Senior High school in the community that I was born and bred which also happens to be a Girls school&&num;8221&semi;&period; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchng&period;com&sol;">One of the best Girls’ Senior High Schools in Ghana<&sol;a>&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu&comma; in his conclusion pledged to build a new teachers bungalow and called on parents in the Zongos and inner cities to enrol their Girls in the School&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;<img class&equals;"alignnone size-medium wp-image-17938" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2022&sol;11&sol;Ghana-2-300x225&period;jpg" alt&equals;"African Leading Philanthropist" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"225" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;

Nollywood Actress, Shine Rosman, Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment In Lagos OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about what she describes as ongoing incidents of sexual harassment affecting women in parts of Lagos, particularly in Yaba. She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
