Adeyemi Obadimu marries
Adeyemi Obadimu, the publisher of News Extra, an online publication, has married.
He married Olayemi Balikis, a dashing entrepreneur who graduated from Osun State College of Education with flying colours in Social Studies and Yoruba.
The well attended wedding held on Saturday, May 30 in Ifo, Ogun State.
Earlier, at the traditional marriage, the couple received parental blessings, witnessed by family members, friends and well-wishers.
The groom, a Mass Communication graduate of ESTG University, Republic of Benin, hails from the popular Obadimu family in Egba, Ogun State.
He is a renowned journalist and key player in the leadership of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists, NGIJ, a body of investigative journalists as well as a dependable hand in the National Association of Online Security Reporters, NAOSRE, amongst other associations.
Over the years, Obadimu, fondly addressed as Veron by his colleagues, has plied his trade on the business, political and sports desks in different media houses, an experience that has positively reflected in the management of News Extra, making the medium a first choice to readers and advertisers.
Speaking, the bride, who is also an advocate of youth inclusiveness in governance, said he had always known he would marry “The love of his life” since they met years ago.
The immense wedding was a way of reconfirming that his love for her has always been genuine.
The couple described the marriage as a dream come true, given the mutual love, respect and understanding they have shared over the years.
Dignitaries that attended the wedding from far and near included Femi Oyewale, President, National Association of Online Security Reporters, NAOSRE; the spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele who was represented by Mrs Bolanle Aina, ex-House of Assembly candidate for Abeokuta South constituency II of Ogun State and Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele.
Others were Vice President, Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists, NGIJ, Bashorun Israel Bolajil; popular Ibile Lemi crooner, Okiki Bright, as well as top-notch journalists across Nigeria.
