OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has responded after facing online criticism for promoting Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.

The backlash followed the tragic death of socialite and influencer Elena Jessica, who reportedly died from complications after her second BBL at Cynosure Clinic in Lagos.

In an Instagram video, Uche spoke candidly about the risks of cosmetic surgery. She admitted that BBL is risky but challenged her critics, asking, “Which surgery isn’t risky?”

She went on to stress the importance of being informed before undergoing any procedure, emphasizing careful planning and aftercare. Uche advised:

“Just make sure you are well-informed about the surgery you want. Use a good hospital and a good doctor. Make sure you don’t allow infection to enter your wound and take your aftercare seriously.”

Uche also highlighted that medical procedures like fibroid surgeries, C-sections, and even treatments for headaches can have fatal outcomes, reinforcing that every surgery carries risks.

Her message has sparked conversations online about safety, responsibility, and the need for proper guidance when considering elective cosmetic procedures.
