OpenLife Nigeria reports the a Nigerian federal lawmaker, Honourable Alex Ifeanyi Mascot Ikwechegh, has threatened to make a Bolt driver disappear over monetary disagreement.
The threat was seen in a video obtained from verydarkman Facebook wall.
In the video, Honourable Alex Ikwechegh, who hails from Igbere in Bende area of Abia State, was heard boasting that he has connections that can make him get away with whatever harm he inflicts on the Bolt driver, identified as Mr. Stephen Abuwatseya
Ikwechegh who is said to be staying in Maitama district in Abuja represents Aba North and Aba South federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
He is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA .
Information has it that the Bolt driver went to Ikwechegh’s home to deliver snails.

Reacting to the development, the Nigeria Police Force has claimed knowledge of the incident.
However, the police, through a statement, has warned Nigerians from dragging the name of the Inspector General of Police into issues whenever they occur, stressing that the IG remains impartial on matters that are of public interest.
The statement reads:
Nigeria Police Force is aware of the incident between a Bolt driver, Mr. Stephen Abuwatseya, and Hon. Alexander Ikwegh, which took place on October 27, 2024, in Maitama, Abuja.
The FCT Command is actively handling the case following Mr. Abuwatseya’s official report at the Maitama Divisional Headquarters.
The Police Force also urges the public to refrain from using the name or office of the Inspector-General of Police to intimidate others, as such actions undermine the values of impartiality that the IGP’s office upholds.
