OpenLife Nigeria has gathered that an abandoned N6.4billion, 105-Bed Specialist Hospital in Cross River State has been taken over by Faith Tabernacle, a church.
According to the information obtained from Agba Jalingo’s Facebook wall, the abandoned hospital was actually one of the developmental projects of former Governor Liyeh Imoke.
Imoke governed the State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP between 2007 and 2015.
Information further revealed that part of the abandoned Specialist Hospital In Calabar has been turned to “Block Moulding Industry.”
Agba Jalingo wrote:
“The N6.4billion, 105-Bed Specialist Hospital was billed for commissioning in March 2015. That never happened and the project has remained abandoned till date.
CrossRiverWatch recent visit to the site reveals that, Faith Tabernacle, a pentecostal church, has taken over part of the massive building to begin their weekly and Sunday services.
“A private block moulding industry has also occupied part of the space behind and they are doing their business without hinderance.”
