<h4>Adamawa Police Command Clarifies Report Of Threat Against Senior Officer<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>OpenLife Nigeria reports that Adamawa State Police Command has clarified o a trending threat story in the social media against on of it&&num;8217&semi;s officers&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a statement signed by the spokesman of the Command&comma; DSP Suleiman Yahaya&comma; and made available on Friday to the National Association of Online Security Reporters&comma; NAOSRE&comma; the Police described the publication as an attempt to smear it&&num;8217&semi;s integrity and therefore&comma; urged members of the public to disregard such publication&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The statement reads in full&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>The attention of the <strong>Adamawa <&sol;strong> Police Command has been drawn to a misleading and fabricated publication with a caption&comma; &&num;8221&semi; &ast;Police officer gives violence threats to a buyer of property near his Adamawa House&&num;8221&semi;&period;&ast; The publication is nothing but a calculated attempt to smear the image of the police&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>As a matter of fact&comma; the command has not received any complaint of threat from one Mr &period;Umeh as alleged in an online publication&period; The command has contacted the Senior Police Officer&comma; DCP Ibrahim Baba Zango&comma; an indigen of Adamawa state and found out that the allegations were not true&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>To put the record straight&comma; the police officer had an issue which is civil in nature on the 2nd February&comma; 2022&comma; with his neighbour and being a seasoned and professional police officer&comma; he instituted a direct civil action against the defendants before Upper Area Court in Jimeta&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>But instead of Mr&period; Umeh to appear in court as expected&comma; he went on social media and published false information just to attract undue sympathy and tarnish the good image of the force&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>It is important to note that DCP Ibrahim Baba Zango acted in his capacity as a citizen and a neighbour by approaching court for redress not as police or Northerner against Southerner as allegies but as law abiding citizen&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>The police in Adamawa are friendly serving officers and cannot entertain civil cases&period; The command wishes to advise Mr Umeh to go to court and sort out their grievances with his neighbor and leave police out of their civil matters&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>However&comma; the Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde commended Journalists for services being rendered&comma; and equally advised them to always verify their reports before disseminating it to the public&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
