Yobe Councillor provides water

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Councillors appear to be taking the lead in showing leadership examples as elected officers.
Only recently in the southern part of Nigeria, a Bayelsa councilor, Honourable Onem Tyna Miracle built a bridge for her community from savings of her monthly salary.
Up north, another Councillor from Yobe State, Honourable Musa Alhaji Bello who represents Ngelzarma ‘A Ward in Fune Local Government Area of the State has replicated same feat by constructing a bole hole for his community with the sum of N350, 000 which he said took him about four months to save.
Honourable Bello who has always insisted that he is technically inspired by Governor Buni’s Leadership, maintained that his utmost desire of seeking office is to ensure that his people do not suffer again.
The Honourable Yobe Councillor, recently appoint 28 personal assistants who are expected to be his eyes and ears in the vast ward for development.
The European American University graduate who was 38 years old in March says governor Buni of Yobe State inspires him with his leadership traits.
“The reason I joined politics is to be a good representative of my community to forward all their problems to the local government council for it to be considered and solved based on priority.
“My developmental objectives are to construct more Boreholes to provide portable water to Ngelzarma and surrounding villages in line with Governor Buni’s administration’s goal.
Another objective is to see that drainages are constructed in Ngelzarma town to prevent water flooding.
“Besides all this, I am also concerned about the school systems in my ward. Therefore, I use my position as a Councillor to solicit for the renovation of some obsolete primary schools in my ward to enhance education.
“I also advocate to authority concern for the provision of fertilizers to our farmers for food security and sufficiency. My ward is very vast and we have many settlements,” he told OpenLife in an interview.
