Wike orders arrest of Atiku’s ally in Rivers

<p><strong>Rivers State Governor&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Nyesom Wike<&sol;a> has ordered the arrest of a member of the House of Representatives&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Chinyere Igwe<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Igwe is a cousin to Austin Opara&comma; who is a supporter of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party&comma; Atiku Abubakar&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The lawmaker is said to be the owner of a filling station in Diobu&comma; Port Harcourt&comma; which was sealed off by security agents on Friday&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Wike alleged that the product from the filling station is sourced from illegal refineries popularly known as kpo-fire&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h1><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;nigerian-university-shuns-asuu-announces-resumption-date&sol;">Nigerian University Shuns ASUU&comma; Announces Resumption Date <&sol;a><&sol;h1>&NewLine;<p>Wike said he had told the security agencies that&comma; <em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;if I hear anything that any filling station is involved in oil bunkering&comma; I will close down that filling station and therefore I have directed the security agencies to know who has that filling station in Diobu and arrest that person and we are going to prosecute the person&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It doesn’t matter how highly placed that person is&period; Some of you should be used to teach a lesson&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Time has come&comma; we cannot allow oil bunkering&comma; we can’t&period;”<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Igwe&comma; who was speaking about the sealing of his filling station on Friday&comma; had described the action of the security agencies as <em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;politically motivated”&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
