OpenLife Nigeria has reliably gathered that the executive governor of Rivers State of Rivers State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike is among Nigeria’s finest governors.
This verdict, OpenLife Nigeria gathered, came from Senator Rochas Okorocha, representing Imo West Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Industry analysts say this commendation is coming from” the least expected quarters.”
The All Progressives Congress, APC, which came into existence in 2014 through the alignment of Action Congress of Nigeria, CAN, All Nigeria’s Peoples Party, ANPP and a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and won the presidential and several other states of the federation in the 2015 general election is an opposition party to PDP.
Delivering the verdict on Monday in Port Harcourt during the commissioning of projects executed by governor Wike, Senator Okorocha, a former Imo State Governor said “In this dispensation, there are many bad people in APC, many bad people in PDP.
“I think the good people of APC and good people of PDP must come together for the purpose of making Nigeria great.
“I could imagine where I would join forces with Wike. Governor Wike, this is my hand of friendship. Let us bring all like minds, all great people of Nigeria. Rather than complaining, let us come together to make this country greater and greater as it should be.
“What brought me here today is not a party. What brought me here today is love and friendship. I am not PDP, I am APC. But the time has come when we must break the jinx of party division and begin to embrace brotherhood and friendship and be able to state what is good and what is bad. A bad man is a bad man, even if he is PDP or APC.”
Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike is a Nigerian politician and lawyer who is the sixth and current Governor of Rivers State. He is an Ikwerre from Rumuepirikom in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State.
