<h4>Why I Stopped Using My Private Jet</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu has explained the reasons he has stopped using his private jet.</p>
<p>According to the Senator representing Abia North, he disclosed that he has stopped using his private jet since August 2, 2024.</p>
<p>He started, in a short video message, obtained from his Facebook wall that salaries of his private jet workers in Nigeria and other African countries need to be properly sorted out before he considers using the private jet again.</p>
<p>He added that &#8220;cost of fuel&#8221; is another reason he has put the use of the private jet on hold.</p>
<p>However, he disclosed that the jet can be functioning, &#8220;as hire&#8221; for corporate use by oil companies.</p>
<p>Born on 21 April 1960, the Nigerian politician and businessman served as governor of Abia State from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007.<br />
Kalu is the chairman of SLOK Holding and the Daily Sun and New Telegraph newspapers in Nigeria.</p>
<p>He is said to worth $2.8 billion.</p>
