Who Made Osinbanjo VP? The Truth

Who Made Osinbanjo
OpenLife Nigeria reports that following the launch of a book titled “My Participation” by former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande, there has been an avalanche of theories about how Professor Yemi Osinbajo, 63, and current Vice President of Nigeria became a running mate to Buhari in 2014.
The autobiography chronicling pre and post-All Progressives Congress, APC, has generated lots of controversies.
Specifically, there are debates about how Osinbajo became a Vice President.
Without a doubt, Professor Yemi Osinbajo made himself the first choice for the VP slot in the APC power game. This is evident in his professional, religious and political trajectories.
As a professional, his hallmark has been excellence either as a classroom teacher or litigations in the courtroom. As a born-again, he has remained committed to the Lord’s vineyard so much so that as a pastor in Redeemed Christian Church of God, his parish on Lagos Island became a shining example on how to be a servant of God.
As a Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of Lagos State, he demonstrated professionalism and ensured that the Tinubu’s administration did not derail on the legal highway in all its contentions with Obasanjo’s led federal government.
It is on record that Lagos judiciary enjoyed infrastructural and welfare uplift during the tenure of Osinbajo.
Probably for sheer co incidence of geography, his marriage to late Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s grand daughter turned out a huge plus in the process of getting the required victory votes in the southwest and beyond.
That, in itself, strongly recommended him for the job.
In the final analysis, no one can lay claim to making him a VP. A combination of various factors and interventions made Osinbajo the running mate to Buhari in 2014
