<h4>Where Are The Results Of Over ₦681 Billion Received In Less Than Two Years By Kaduna Governor<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<h4><&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that in the spirit of 2nd anniversary in office&comma; Yusuf Ishaku Goje&comma; a public office commentator&comma; asks about the results of the over N681 billion received by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Titled <strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Keep Politicians On Their Toes&colon; Let’s Talk Some Numbers &lpar;Part 1&rpar;&comma;<&sol;strong> Goje’s analyses are reproduced below<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;Uba Sani to Activists&colon; Defend Democracy&comma; Keep Politicians On Their Toes&comma;&&num;8221&semi; was one of the screaming headlines on DailyTrust Newspaper&period; The Governor called and we answered&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>Two years may not be adequate to assess the administration of Senator Uba Sani&comma; but it is enough to ask&colon; is the administration on track&quest; This piece does not offer any conclusions&period; It presents the numbers and leaves you to judge whether the output level results being celebrated matches the revenues received&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>In 2023&comma; Kaduna received ₦107&period;55 billion from FAAC&period; The previous administration&comma; in office for about five months&comma; got ₦48&period;99 billion&comma; while the current administration received ₦58&period;56 billion&period; In 2024&comma; the first full year under the incumbent&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">FAAC<&sol;a> allocations rose to ₦305&period;20 billion&period; <&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>An additional ₦50&period;39 billion was received in Q1 2025&period; Total FAAC revenue during this period was ₦463&period;15 billion&semi; subtracting the portion received by the past administration leaves ₦414&period;16 billion under the current government&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>Internally Generated Revenue &lpar;IGR&rpar; for 2023 stood at ₦62&period;41 billion—₦29&period;44 billion under the past government and ₦32&period;97 billion under the current one&period; In 2024&comma; the state generated ₦70&period;22 billion&comma; and ₦19&period;26 billion in Q1 2025&period; The total IGR was ₦151&period;92 billion&comma; with ₦122&period;47 billion attributable to the current administration&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>In 2023&comma; Kaduna received ₦15&period;95 billion in aid and grants&comma; with just ₦661&period;91 million falling under the new government&period; In 2024&comma; this figure rose to ₦29&period;41 billion&comma; followed by ₦773&period;35 million in Q1 2025&period; The total was ₦46&period;14 billion&comma; of which ₦30&period;85 billion went to the current administration&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>International borrowing also increased&period; <&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>Of the ₦26&period;67 billion borrowed in 2023&comma; ₦20&period;36 billion was under the current government&period; In 2024 and Q1 2025&comma; it borrowed ₦52&period;26 billion and ₦41&period;34 billion respectively&period; That totals ₦120&period;28 billion in loans&comma; with ₦113&period;96 billion attributed to the present administration&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>Altogether&comma; Kaduna State received ₦781&period;50 billion from 2023 through Q1 2025&period; After removing funds received under the previous government&comma; the current administration has accessed about ₦681&period;44 billion&period; This excludes Other Capital Receipts and Sale of Fixed Asset that&comma; if included&comma; would increase the total&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>So&comma; with over ₦681 billion received in less than two years&comma; the key question remains&colon; has the administration delivered results that reflect this level of funding&quest;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>This article won’t answer that for you&period; But the numbers are here—and they demand scrutiny&period; The verdict&comma; as always&comma; lies with the people&period; Watch out for part two on expenditure&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>Lets engage&comma; ask the right questions and hold the government accountable&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Goje is an active citizen&comma; civil society member and OGP enthusiast<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
