What I Told Tinubu About President Donald Trump—Adeboye

OpenLife Nigeria reports that 84 years old Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has disclosed his private conversations with President Bola Tinubu about President Donald Trump of the United States of America.

The General Overseer of RCCG made the disclosure at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group on June 23 in Washington DC.

According to the man of God who praised President Donald Trump and called him a man of his word said: “Thank God for Trump,” Adeboye said.

“Last year, around November, he sent a message that he was coming to bomb Nigeria. And I felt that, again, if I did not say something, things might not go the way they should go.

“You see, there is something wonderful about bombing. The only problem with it is that no matter how accurate your bomb may be, some innocent people will suffer. And I think he meant to bomb us several times.

“So again, I had to speak in November, on the first Friday of November last year. I announced publicly that the government must do something quickly. I said to them: ‘I have never met Trump, but I have followed him, and I like him.’

“That does not mean I agree with all his ways. What I like about him is this: one, he tells the truth. He is the best politician I have ever met.”

Adeboye said he also shared his perception on Trump with the US ambassador during the diplomat’s visit to his home.
When the envoy asked him what he thought about Trump, Adeboye said he replied: “I like him.” Asked why, the pastor said “he is doing what he promised you he would do.”

Adeboye told the audience that “to be a good politician, you must be able to say two things from the same mouth. That is what makes you a professional politician.”

“And I like him (Trump) because, when he says: ‘I want to do this,’ you had better get ready. Many times, he would even have done what he was going to do before telling you.”

The RCCG overseer added that he had similar conversations with President Bola Tinubu and Oluremi, the first lady.

Oluremi is also an RCCG pastor.

Adeboye said he told Tinubu to contact his US counterpart and provide assurance of Nigeria’s commitment to counter-terrorism.
