<p><em>What I Told Nnamdi Kanu In DSS Custody<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> has gathered that as a follow up on the recent visit by Igbo elders led by First Republic Aviation Minister&comma; Mbazulike Amaechi to President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday&comma; November 19&comma; former governor of Abia State&comma; Orji Uzor Kalu&comma; on Monday&comma; visited Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody in Abuja&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The Senate Chief Whip and Chairman&comma; Slok Holdings made the disclosure on his facebook wall <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">Monday<&sol;a> afternoon&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;According to the Senator&comma; Nnamdi Kanu and himself are not co travelers on the same ideological highway&period; However&comma; he considers him a brother and notable Igbo son who hails from the same state as him&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;For the purpose of peace&comma; Kalu said he adviced Kanu to embrace peace above other considerations&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He wrote&colon;<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>This afternoon&comma; I visited my brother&comma; Maazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody&comma; Abuja &period; I met him in good health and care and we discussed as &&num;8216&semi;Umunne&&num;8217&semi;&period; <&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>In 2001 when I was Governor&comma; I made his father Eze Israel Okwu Kanu <&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>the traditional ruler of Afara Ukwu and since then the family has been very close to me&period; <&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>I understand that Nnamdi has an insane amount of people rooting for him back home and I encouraged him to consider the consequences of certain actions and utterances for the sake of the same people&period; <&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>Even though my ideology and his ideology are totally different&comma; God has made us brothers and we can&&num;8217&semi;t run away from each other&period; <&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>I owe him and Nigerians good counseling&period; Whether he and his family listen to me or not&comma; I will continue counseling him as I have always done in the past&period; What we need most is a peaceful and secured society&comma;<&sol;em><&sol;strong> he stated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
