VeryDarkMan And Seun Kuti Unfollow Each Other Over Dispute Linked To Sowore’s Role In Blord Detention
OpenLife reports that a noticeable shift has emerged in the relationship between VeryDarkMan and Seun Kuti, as both figures have now severed their Instagram connections, an action widely interpreted as a sign of escalating tensions.
What once appeared to be a visible alignment between the two has now given way to a public disconnect, fueled by conflicting views surrounding the controversial detention of cryptocurrency figure Blord.
The disagreement appears rooted in their opposing reactions to the involvement of activist Omoyele Sowore in the unfolding situation.
Sowore had openly criticized VeryDarkMan’s role in the circumstances leading to Blord’s arrest, arguing that the prolonged detention raises broader concerns about systemic flaws within the justice framework. He also called for Blord’s release, framing the issue as part of a larger fight against institutional injustice.
Seun Kuti, however, chose to stand firmly alongside Sowore, a move that intensified the divide.
During an Instagram Live session, he did not hold back in expressing his stance, directing pointed remarks at VeryDarkMan and casting doubt on his legitimacy as an activist. He suggested that while VeryDarkMan associates with wealthy individuals, Sowore maintains a more grassroots and uncompromising stance.
This unfolding situation has not only strained their personal rapport but has also sparked conversations about credibility, influence, and the direction of activism in the public eye.
