<h4>Uzodimma Plans Afresh</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that as it is with many states in Nigeria with staggered political calendar, the forthcoming 2023 governorship election in Imo State is creating suspense and anxiety in the political firmament of the state as gladiators jostle for the tickets of the various political parties.<br />
This is especially so with incumbent Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress, APC.<br />
The governor had assumed office on the instrumentality of Supreme Court judgement which surprisingly catapulted him from number four position in the 2019 Imo State governorship race to number one, displacing Emeka Ihedioha who had been sworn in as governor.<br />
That development, which did not settle well with lots of stakeholders, is the pivot which has become the rally point for oppositions who have vowed to ensure that Uzodimma does not return as Imo governor after November 2023 election.<br />
Leading the onslaught against Uzodimma is<br />
Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who has emerged the party&#8217;s standard bearer.</p>
<p>Uzodimma, APC&#8217;s sole aspirant, who hails from Imo West, same senatorial zone that produced Governors Achike Udenwa and Rochas Okorocha, is currently running from pillar to post.<br />
Just yesterday, an APC stalwart confided in OpenLife in Asaba that Uzodimma has earned mark N1 billion for publicity which will be activated in June, involving a high rating public relations film in the United Kingdom.</p>
<p>He maintained that the obviously poor performance of Uzodimma accounted for the reason for a top rated PR film to shore up his rating in the public space.</p>
<p>The pr film, according to OpenLife source, is to provide technical and advisory supports to his local communication team.<br />
Also, the credible source availed that &#8220;Tinubu is not ready to support Uzodimma. Nobody knows the information Asiwaju has against governor Hope. That is the reason Adams Oshiomhole has stepped into the matter. Of all the efforts Hope Uzodimma have made, Adams Oshiomhole seems to be the only one that can make Tinubu to have change of mind,&#8221; the source stated.<br />
Meanwhile, Labour Party that seemed to have materialized in Imo State is enmeshed in uncertainty.</p>
<p>As it is, many political watchers are wondering whether or not the LP can produce a governorship candidate that can stop second term-seeking Uzodimma.</p>
