US Election: It is Biden versus Trump

The stage, at last, is set for the final showdown in the November  United States of America presidential contest.

On Friday, former vice president Joe Biden clinched victory in the Democratic Party race. He is expected to battle  President Donald Trump in the election.

Biden said “It was an honor to compete alongside one of the most talented groups of candidates the Democratic party has ever fielded – and I am proud to say that we are going into this general election a united party.”

According to information obtained from Associated Press, the democratic candidate passed the 1,991-delegate threshold required to seize the nomination.

Left-wing Senator Bernie Sanders had bowed out in April, leaving Biden the only aspirant  left in the Democratic race
