Unite and support Esan Governorship, Okpebholo tells Esans worldwide

&NewLine;<p>As the Edo State governorship election draws near&comma; Ambassador Cedrack Okpebholo&comma; the national Co-ordinator&comma; United Politi­cal Parties for Good Governance&comma; UPPG&comma;&nbsp&semi;is urging Esan indigenes across the world to unite in support of Esan 2020 Governorship Agenda&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;Speaking on May 12&comma; the National Convener&comma; Esan &nbsp&semi;For Governor 2020&comma;<em> <&sol;em>&nbsp&semi;gave the appeal on the rationale that for the umpteenth time&comma; candidate from Esan should be adequately oxygenated with all the required supports to achieve the noble objective of re inventing the Esan developmental wheels from where late&nbsp&semi; Ambrose Alli stopped&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>He particularly decried the wholesale marginalization of Esan since the rebirth of democratic governance in 1999 saying that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Except there is a potent third force with solid emotional and material supports&comma; Esan as a tribe will be politically and economically undermined and continue to live by the dictate and in the shadow of the other ethnic groups that make up Edo State&period; This must not be allowed to continue&period; It has to stop on September 19&period; I therefore call on all Esans&comma; home and abroad to deploy political supports for an Esan man to be sworn in as Edo &nbsp&semi;governor on November 12&comma;” he said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Okpebholo emphasized the importance of&nbsp&semi;drumming supports and solidarity to this cause&comma; saying the supports should be intentional and deliberate through an &nbsp&semi;understanding &nbsp&semi;that until Esan&comma; as a people&comma; unequivocally pull &nbsp&semi;weight behind their own to win&comma; essential democratic gains would&nbsp&semi; continuously be rotated between other senatorial districts&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Don’t be deceived by the lies and deceits from APC and PDP that they would handover to Esan after certain tenure&period; If they were sincere&comma; why did they steal Esan slot in 2016&quest; They knew it was Esan slot&period; Yet&comma; they went ahead and denied us&comma; promising falsehood&period; A leopard doesn’t change its spot&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Amb Okpebholo who is also national chairman&comma; Grassroots Development Party of Nigeria&comma; GNDP&comma; disclosed that he is particularly encouraged by other associations and groups nationwide who have keyed into the Esan agenda saying &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;More political parties are showing interest in teaming up for the Esan governorship and discussions are underway on the harmonization and consolidation of resources to ensure that a united front is presented during the polls&comma; and hopefully coast to victory&period;&nbsp&semi; Everything is almost set to unveil the political party that will be supported&comma;” he stated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
