<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Undie Adie,Osun Police Commissioner has assured citizens and visitors in Osun of adequate security as Nigeria celebrates 60<sup>th</sup> anniversary.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Commissioner’s message was conveyed in a statement by the Command’s spokesperson Superintendent Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin  ;on Wednesday.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Commissioner Undie Adie, is committed to the <a href="http://www.punchng.com">security</a> of life during and after Nigeria’s 60th independence celebration. He has, therefore, put in place necessary security measures to guarantee hitch-free celebrations,” Olawoyin said.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The security measure, Olawoyin explained, is the full deployment of “All Police Tactical squads including Special Anti-robbery (SARS). Police Mobile Force 39, Joint Task Force (JTF), Anti-kidnapping and Operation Puff Adder are also on full alert. Other deployments by the CP are Swift Response Squad and Safer Highway Patrol Team. All these security apparatus, the Command stated are combing all the nooks and crannies of the State to provide security coverage.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While congratulating Osun people on the country&#8217;s <a href="https://openlife.ng/">60th anniversay,</a> he urged them to be security conscious. &#8220;I wish you a joyous and fruitful independence celebration as the country marks her Diamond Jubilee. But be conscious of criminally-minded people who might disguise to perpetrate nefarious activities.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the same vein, Adie reiterated that the State <a href="https://openlife.ng/">Police Command</a> will continue to work assiduously to protect lives and property of the citizenry. The personnel deployed for the assignment have been lectured to be professional, civil and respect fundamental Human Rights.</p>
