<h4><strong>Unauthorized Deduction</strong></h4>

<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, Kwara chapter, has dragged the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) to Industrial Court over unauthorised checks of dues from her members.</p>
<p>Others joined in the suit are <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">Kwara State</a> Teaching Service Commission chairman, Ministry of Finance, Kwara State Head of Service and the State Attorney General.</p>

<p>ASUSS has officially withdrawn from NUT since September 2020 but unauthorised checks of due are still being deducted from ASUSS members.</p>
