Trial Prophet Over € 5.7m Fraud Builds Charity Schools
OpenLife Nigeria has gathered that a Christian named Shepherd Bushiri, along with his wife, not too long ago, was on trial charged with theft, fraud and money laundering involving 5.7 million Euros
In September 2020 , they were granted bail at R200,000 each in South Africa.
The Malawi born prophet is said to have escaped from South Africa travelling without passports, crossed South Africa’s northern border with Zimbabwe and landed in Malawi.
According to available information about him, he is said to have 3 private jets, a Rolls Royce, G Wagon, Aston Martin Volante, Porsche, Bentleys.
Some of these luxury items, according to information, have been seized over the case.
He created ATM cards for his members to pay tithe.
Shepherd Bushiri is one of the wealthiest preachers in Africa. He has a net worth of U.S$150 million as of 2021.
At the moment, the self-styled Malawian prophet and preacher Shepherd Bushiri is on a construction of a modern city in Malawi , Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has said that about 900 international brands have expressed interest to partner with Goshen City.
The city, according to Bushiri, will have a range of components such as state of the art hospital, business park, recreation facilities and schools.
He has been assisting Malawi’s government through charity programmes by constructing Secondary and primary schools , pay school fees to needy among others .
