Tragedy Strikes Reality TV Personality, Mary Cosby
Robert Cosby Jr., the 23-year-old son of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby, has passed away, leaving his family in mourning.
Mary Cosby is a well-known reality TV personality, best recognized as an original cast member of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC), appearing since its 2020 debut.
She is also known for her role as a Pentecostal pastor leading the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Utah.
Police in Salt Lake City said they responded Monday night to a “full arrest/medical emergency” call involving a 23-year-old man.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched, and officials said the situation began as a possible overdose before being treated as a death investigation. Authorities in Utah have not released an official cause of death.
The death comes just months after Robert’s wife, Alexiana Smokoff, filed for divorce.
The family confirmed the loss, saying:
“Our beloved son Robert Jr.
has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
Mary Cosby and her husband are leaning on their faith as they grieve the loss.
