Tonto Dikeh Clarifies Rumoured Hug With Churchill At Andre’s Birthday

;

OpenLife reports that rumours swirled online after a video from Tonto Dikeh’s son’s football-themed birthday party showed her hugging a man.

Netizens quickly jumped to conclusions, claiming she was embracing ex-husband Olakunle Churchill, and questioning how his current wife, Rosy Meurer, might react.

Tonto Dikeh quickly put the rumors to rest. The man in the footage, she explained, was Churchill’s uncle, who has been like family to her.

“This is completely inappropriate and inaccurate.

He is Churchill’s uncle and, by extension, my uncle as well. My son was born in his home, under his care and protection. His wife, Aunty Vivian, was the one who took me to the hospital when I went into labor.

They opened their home to me for six months. In a country as demanding as America, they made sure my baby and I were cared for, feeding us, clothing us, and giving us a safe roof over our heads.

They did this out of love, with no hesitation.

This narrative is deeply disrespectful to him, to me, and to our families. I would appreciate more thoughtfulness and sensitivity moving forward, please.”

Dikeh’s response emphasizes the deep family bonds and support that helped her through the early months of her son’s life. She called on the public to exercise caution before spreading misleading narratives online.
