Tinubu’s Gaffes Are Metaphors—APC Chieftain

Tinubu’s gaffes are metaphors

OpenLife Nigeria reports that following the concerns expressed by Nigerians over the unending gaffes of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a member of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, Mr.Bola Bakare, has clarified the misconceptions saying they are metaphors.
Since Tinubu declared his intention to contest, he has made over 20 gaffes publicly. These gaffes have provided online skit makers with comic contents and to some extent, a tragic embarrassment to a nation in dire need of salvation.
Only recently, the APC flag-bearer made some controversial comments during his campaign in Akwa Ibom, where he claimed he made Atiku Senate President.
“They don’t have a mandate; what they have na ice cream. E melt quick. You gave me their yeye people… Atiku, when we make am senate president, haba! You sell this, you sell that assets, our common wealth…everything that we have,” Tinubu said.
Speaking on the numerous gaffes, Bakare on Arise TV Thursday afternoon, dismissed the gaffes as inconsequential saying they are metaphors that can be decoded in an African communication pattern.
