OpenLife Nigeria reports that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 general election, on Sunday, proved to his critics that he is physically fit to withstand the rigours of presidential duties if voted into office next year as Nigeria’s president.
Over the time, the former Lagos State governor has been demeaned as being unhealthy to be Nigeria’s president on accounts of his incessant medical trips to the United Kingdom.
Same rumour emerged in the political space since last week when his absence at the peace accord signing ceremony held in Abuja last week without his presence.
Rather, Tinubu was represented by Kassim Shettima, his running mate.
Most commentators, specifically from the opposition camps emphasized that the APC flagbearer was on treatment, yet again, in London.
Refuting that claims, Tinubu, took to cycling on Sunday and said:
“Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope.
This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am READY to serve Nigerians from Day One.#BAT23,” he stated.
