The Secrets Of Bola Ahmed Tinubu—Chief Solomon Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos

The Secrets Of Bola Ahmed Tinubu

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has revealed some secrets of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s President-Elect and enjoined all Nigerians to support him because he had worked hard to justify his election.

Chief Solomon Aguene stated  this during interactions with the media at the Ohanaeze Secretariat in Surulere, Lagos, hinting that there was every need to be united in support of Tinubu for him to move Nigeria forward.
Chief Aguene stated: “The situation in Nigeria is worrisome; peace and harmony are receding as there is a huge threat to the nation’s coexistence. Elections had come and gone yet it seems the healing process, which should be the next phase is been supplanted by increasing tension and deliberate mischief by enemies of democracy. Even though there were infractions in the 2023 Elections, the scenario was not unprecedented as the nation has witnessed even worst electoral malfeasances in the past yet heaven did not fall”.
“However, this is not in anyway undermining the right of the aggrieved candidates in the elections to challenge the perceived infractions through constitutional means, which the Labour Candidate and PDP candidate have done.”
“There is President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, APC Presidential candidate as declared by the electoral umpire, INEC. Except his victory is set aside by the Court, he’s the President-elect and shall assume power as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 29th May, 2023.”
“I want Nigerians to understand that there is no election that is hundred percent free and fair all over the world even in old democracies. No matter the grievances anybody has in the shortcomings of the last Elections, it’s imperative to rally around the President-elect and support him to offer good governance, which preponderance Nigerians have been yearning for a protracted time.”
“Nigeria as a heterogeneous nation with more than 300 ethnic nationalities, has its own complexities in terms of governance, hence, it presents a huge challenge to the leader.”

My little experience as the leader of the apex Igbo sociocultural organization, Ohanaeze Lagos Chapter, makes me understand this even though I receive sundry accolades and credits as the best President in the annals of the organization by at least 90% of my people and even the Yoruba, our host, because of my landmark achievements are unprecedented in the organization both at the national and state chapters.”
“However, deep down in me, I know that the job has not been easy in that scintilla space against the backdrop of the oppositions’ blackmails, treachery of subordinates, character assassination designed particularly to elicit disaffection of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Ohanaeze Grand Patron, Chief Dr Ifeanyi Odi, towards me with the view of isolating them from me. Then you could image the enormity of the challenge to govern Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, with different fault lines and varied interests.”
“Interestingly, Asiwaju is man full of wisdom and admirable leadership qualities and will definitely rise to the occasion to deliver democratic dividends to Nigerians.”
“Leadership is all about wisdom, conscience, sacrifices, vision and focus and the President-elect has doses of these in addition to his academic prowess though education is not the strength of leadership. Nonetheless, Tinubu will deliver as he has promised during the campaign and in his acceptance speech as the President-elect.”
“Therefore, I make passionate appeal to Nigerians to exercise restrain in inflaming tribal or religion passion to cause disaffection on the ground of the last elections and eschew cynicism of the current situation as the President-elect has given reason for a ‘Renewed Hope’ in the destiny of the nation. I have the conviction that in two years of his leadership, the impact will be tremendous.”
“Nigeria is a country of huge resources that nobody can exhaust; the challenge is to harness them through creative leadership and Asiwaju will make the difference.”
“The President- elect’s antecedent has shown him to be a unique leader, who has the gift of identifying capacity and talent and inspire them to deliver the greatest common good. His leadership recruitment is second to none. The political mentorship and largesse are legendary and have changed the fortunes of many individuals in the political space who ordinarily wouldn’t have the clout and wherewithal to actualize their political ambitions.”
“It’s incredible, the litany of men and women who through Asiwaju have occupied the elective offices of councillors, Local Government Chairmen, State Assembly legislators, Senate and Federal House of Representatives legislators and governors. He even has a hand in the making of the current sitting President and his Vice.”

There are also countless number of appointees Asiwaju Tinubu has facilitated as commissioners, advisers, parastatal heads, ministers, board members, ambassadors etc.”
“In economic angle, Tinubu has raised plethora number of people with poor background into the millionaire class. His generosity and good heart towards the successes of others are legendary and it’s said that no one meets Asiwaju and remains the same in the economic station.”
“The President-elect is simply a colossus and we must acknowledge his contributions in the political space. No leader in Nigeria has made the tremendous impact Asiwaju has made in the political firmament.”
“Bola Tinubu proved his leadership qualities in his eight years administration as the Executive Governor of Lagos. He laid a solid foundation for the emergence of a New Lagos through creative and dedicated leadership.”
“He opened access roads to hinterlands to drive developments and opened the eyes of his people to the value of land with the belief that Igbo investments in that sector would spring development and it worked as ordinary people even mechanics, teachers, carpenters to mention just a few, who are head of families in remote areas, have become baales transiting to emergency millionaires through land business. He installed Obas and baales even outsides Lagos revitalizing and creating resurgence passion for the Yoruba cultural heritage.”
“Since he left power as the Executive Governor of Lagos, the footprint of his successes are still visible and the impeccable leadership recruitment he engineered in Lagos has always produced the best hand to manage the affairs of Lagos. This has not only sustained the development of the nation’s industrial capital, but has increased the tempo of growth, most especially in the area of infrastructure.”
“I must confess that it was through this same credible recruitment process that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr. Sellable, emerged as the Executive Governor, Lagos State. Mr. Governor, as he chose to be addressed since coming to power in 2019, jettisoning the sobriquet of His Excellency as Governors in Nigeria are entitled to, has shown to be detribalized and fair minded in all his dealings irrespective of tribe and religion and this has won him the confidence of Lagocians. Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been my friend since 2019 when the Grand Patron and major financier of Ohanaeze, His Excellency Dr Ifeanyi Odi, introduced me to him and I esteem him greatly for his humility and commitment to the development of Lagos.”

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a formidable politician, proactive and irrepressible as attested in the APC Presidential Primary in 2022, where the odds were against him but he routed his rivals at the end. In the build up to the General Elections in February 25th, sundry obstacles came into play to undermine his chances, but he scaled through in the fiercely contested election.”
“My advice to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed is for him to work hard to justify his election. To this end, it’s profitable to anchor the strength of his government on inclusion rather than exclusion on the ground of political patronage, ethnic or religious affiliations, but to treat Nigeria as his entire constituency creating the enabling environment for the young and the old to actualize their potentials.”
“Asiwaju should focus more on youth empowerment and job creation to contain our restive youthful population. He may adopt the German approach to salvaging unemployment and job lost through a method called, Abate lose, where there is unemployment benefits and those who lose their jobs are paid certain percentage of their salary until they secure a job.”
“China’s application to contain frightening poverty ravaging their country may be useful to us at this material time as the nation has not escaped the categorization as the world poverty capital.”
“Housing is a very big problem in the country, Chief Lateef Jakande, former Governor of Lagos State’s approach of building low cost houses, affordable and probably in the neighborhood of not more than one million Naira selling price may be integrated into the nation housing scheme. This will spring life to the middle class and low income earner asphyxiating under the yoke of economic down turn.”
“It’s imperative to evaluate the level of disaffection among ethnic groups in Nigeria following the last elections, particularly in Lagos and some other areas, where there was ethnic profiling. There’s every reason to reunite the Igbo and Yoruba, their host, who have cohabited close to a century without any disharmony and bad blood.”
“My people are easy to court, if justice, fairness and equity are guaranteed, their loyalty and supports are assured.
As the President of Ohanaeze Lagos, who has followed Asiwaju since his administration as the Executive Governor, I appeal to the President-elect to carry the Igbo along and give them a sense of belonging by not marginalizing the Southeast in his government to treat the Geopolitical Zone in parity with other zones, the Igbo will definitely rally around his government with maximum support.”
“What the Igbo are looking in Nigeria is inclusion, and any President who offers that wins their hearts.
Nnamdi Kalu’s case is at the nub of Igbo interest. The young man is reportedly ill and needs medical attention. If the Buhuri government fail to use Nnamdi Kalu’s bail as a valedictory gift to the Igbo, I appeal to the President-elect to grant him freedom on assumption of power as it’s the right thing to do since there is a subsisting Court ruling for his bail. Such action by Asiwaju will be heroic and the Igbo will support his Government.”
“Nigerians are yearning for good governance. The greatest disservice to any Nigeria President is by the appointees who infect the administration with myopic virus of ethnicity and religious bigotry and put merit behind the close door and drive development far away from Nigeria. “
“Hence, Asiwaju should discountenance with these people no matter the degree of closeness, because the inclination and actions in satisfaction of parochial leanings diminish the leader in people’s estimation and rob him of worthy legacy as leader of repute.”
“Asiwaju must rise above the mistakes of the past clannish Presidents and runs his government as pan Nigeria leader and leave a lasting memory.” Chief Aguene stated.
