OpenLife Nigeria reports that a Lagos Federal High Court has adjourned till 18th of June,2024 for trial to commence, of a Syria born Nigeria Engineer,Walid Aslim 69,and his co – defendant Nassir Attallah 50.
They are alleged to have conspired to commit felony to wit: Forgery,obtaining money under false pretences,unlawful conversion and issuance of dud cheques.
According to a five- count charge filed before the court by the Police Prosecuting Counsel, SP Omo-Osagie, from Zone Two Police Command,it was allegedly stated that sometimes in January 2020,with intent to defraud, obtained credit facilities to the tune of N342 million property of Sky Capital & Finance Alliance International Ltd by forging a certificate of occupancy.
It was further alleged that Walid Aslim and Nassir Attallah on the same date time and place with intent to defraud did issue a dud cheque to the tune of ten million Naira in favour of Sky Capital& Financial Allied International ltd and when presented was dishonoured for lack of sufficient fund standing in thier credit.
The two defendants were also alleged to have unlawfully obtained the sum of N342million property of Sky and Financial Allied International Ltd.
