South Africa And Nigeria’s Potential Can Redefine Africa Continent To Lead The World

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Dr. Bobby Moroe, the Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa, has re echoed the commitment of the South Africa Mission in Nigeria to accentuate the developmental potential of two countries as well as consolidate the existing relationship for Africa Continent to attain it’s pride of place in the global space.
The Ambassador made this disclosure on Thursday in an exclusive chat with OpenLife.
Moroe explained that despite some isolated issues which were blown out of proportion by those who are good at distorting facts, God has blessed the two countries with various endowments.
He stated that the endowments must be harnessed to lift the black Continent out of its economic dependency on some western, European and Asian countries.
“The time has come for South Africa and Nigeria, the two major leading countries on the Africa Continent to harness it’s potential and assume superintending control over global economy and move out of its current level of dependency on other developed Continents,” he asserted.
The Ambassador also called on leaders of both countries to take charge of its own narratives and tell it’s stories to the world to avoid distortion of facts and potential.
He noted with pleasantries the over 35 bilateral agreements signed by both Presidents Cyril Ramaphosa and Muhammadu Buhari to concretize the existing “Social harmony,” between both countries.
He noted that most of the agreements concern youth developments, defence, agriculture for food sufficiency, trade enhancement and entertainment.
“These are laudable concrete steps taken by Presidents of both countries to help our people to bond very well. It will also demystify the stigma of not seeing one another as brothers and sisters. That is the kind of scenario and environment for business and social engagements to strive,” he emphasized.
The Ambassador however supported his argument with a historical analysis of the long existing relationship between the two countries in which Nigeria played a decisive role for a democratic South Africa during the apartheid struggle.
He noted that developed countries in the world are aware of the economic and social strengths of Nigeria and South Africa which have the prospects of overtaking other continents sooner than expected. He  therefore called on leaders and citizens of both countries to utilize that prospects as  compass of engagement to achieve the desired greatness.
