Soun Ogbomoso is dead

The Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Jimoh Oyewumi (Ajagungbade 1) is dead.

The monarch passed on at about 1:25 am on Sunday.

Oba Oyewumi, a successful trader, reigned for several decades on the throne of his forefathers.

He was said to have taken ill in the past few weeks before succumbing to the cold hands of death Sunday morning.

As at the time of filing this report, several indigenes and sympathisers were thronging his palace to condole with his family.
