Some shops in Balogun street, Lagos Island have been destroyed.
The incident happened on Sunday.
It was gathered that before the state fire service, federal fire service and UBA Bank fire service got to the scene, boys in the area tried to quench the fire before it got to the big Mikano Generator, while everyone that lives in the area helped with their fire extinguishers.
The cause of the fire is unknown at the time of filing this report.
