Evangelist Bamidele Isola Olumilua, a former Social Democratic Party, SDP governor of Ondo State between January 1992 to November 1993, is dead. He died at 80. He clocked 80 in April.
A family source confirmed his death on Thursday morning. Olumilua died at his country home in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Information available to OpenLife states that his body has been moved to the morgue of Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Olumilua, who did very well as SDP governor, was forced to leave office when the military regime of General Sani Abacha took power on November 17, 1993.
At a time, he was the Chancellor, Ekiti State University.
His family and Ondo-Ekiti State governments are yet to announce his burial arrangements.
