Scores killed as bandits attacked Buhari’s home state (photos)

About six people have been reportedly killed after bandits attacked Unguwar Samanja village in Faskari local government area of Katsina State.

Katsina is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari and has suffered many attacks in the past.

The bandits arrived at the village at 5:49 p.m on Sunday, October 24 when residents where preparing for the dawn prayer.

They opened fire, killed six people and abducted several others.

One of those killed by the bandits has been identified as Jaafar Kabir.

He was killed on his way to Daudawa, a neighbouring village from Unguwar Samanja.

The dead bodies were buried on Monday morning, October 25.

They also burnt down houses and shops before leaving the village.

Faskari local government area has suffered many attacks from bandits.

It is one of the 13 local government areas in Katsina State where telecom services have been cut.
