Officially, the 2020 Ethnic Business Awards, EBA, slated to hold on February 14 at Oriental Hotel, Lagos has the executive governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the chief host while Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN is the host. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Interior who is billed to deliver the opening address is the chairman of the awards event.
According to a statement from the organizers made available to OpenLife, while governor Sanwo-Olu is expected to deliver a speech titled, “Lagos, A Hub for Foreign Investors”, the special guest of honour, Geoffrey Onyeama, who is Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister will dwell on “Managing Our Foreign Partners.”
Industry, Trade and Investment Minister, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, who is the guest speaker, will speak on, “The Ease Of Investing In Nigeria.”
United States of America Consul General Claire Pierangelo will treat some of the challenges facing foreign businesses in Nigeria. Harriet Thompson, Deputy High Commissioner, British Embassy, Laurence Monmayrant, the French Consulate and Stefan Traumann, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany are among other special guests and keynote speakers.
Also, the organizers have announced Free The Sheeple campaigner, Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze and gorgeous Ghanaian actress, Ella Mensah as hosts of the event which promises to be grand. Daddy Freeze, who has consistently voiced his opinion on church administration, will be anchoring the awards alongside the drop-dead beauty, Ghanaian actress, Ella Mensah.
The awards ceremony will be honouring foreign boardroom collosi who have chosen Nigeria as a home in different categories as Ethnic Entrepreneur of The Year, Employment Friendly Ethnic Company of The Year, CSR Ethnic Brand, Ethnic Product, Most Friendly Ethnic Group.
Highpoint of the event will be the presentation of Ethnic Man and Woman of The Year. Naturalized Nigerian business tycoons nominated for the Ethnic Man category are Cool FM Chairman, Alli Mousalli, Crown Flour Mills Chairman, Chief Maan Lababidi, Chairman of Wempco Group, Chief Robert Tung, Allon Nelken of Mega Plaza, Benoy Berry of Contec Global. Woman of The Year nominees are Kavita Chellaram of Arthouse Contemporary, Diana Chan of GAC Motors and Caterina Bortolussi of Kinabuti Fashions.
The event, beyond honouring and celebrating Nigeria’s migrants community, will also serve as a reference point for network and business interaction between top individuals in public and private sectors. Dress code is touch of red and gold.
