<h4>SAN Lists 11 Reasons Peter Obi Should Not Be Voted For<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that as the final date for the submission of presidential running mates draws closer&comma; a Senior Advocate of Nigeria&comma; SAN&comma; Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa&comma; has perused the presidential aspiration of Mr&period; Peter Obi of the Labour Party&comma; concluding that it would not benefit Nigerians&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The legal practitioner whose penchant for activism started from his teenage years pointed out that Obi’s aspiration iss hollow asking &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;what exactly can we find for inspiration in Obi’s 8-year adventure in Anambra State&quest;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;The former president of the Students’ Union Government of Obafemi Awolowo University who made this disclosure on his facebook wall added that neither Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;tribuneonlineng&period;com&sol;">All Progressives Congress&comma;<&sol;a> APC&comma; nor Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party&comma; PDP is good enough to pilot Nigeria’s affairs from 2023<br &sol;>&NewLine;In his Facebook submission titled<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The Futility Of Obi&sol;Baba-Ahmed Ticket” he itemized Obi’s political shortcomings thus&colon;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>1&period; They are usurpers with no legitimate party or structure&comma; leveraging on their financial prowess to corner a ticket meant for genuine representatives of the working class&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>2&period; They revel in parading dubious statistics&comma; gathering a mob support without ideology or principle other than raw anger against the status quo&comma; which their idols were part and parcel of&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>3&period; The supposed anger of bourgeois renegades against their fellow capitalists can never result into any benefit for the masses that they have all wickedly trampled upon with glee&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>4&period; What does Peter Obi offer or represent in present-day Nigeria other than ethnic and religious sentiments&quest; Were those not the same factors that produced the error of the Buhari regime&quest;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>5&period; Are we not to rate aspirants in line with their track records&quest; Or what exactly can we find for inspiration in Obi’s 8-year adventure in Anambra State&quest;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>6&period; Hajia Harira Jibril was gruesomely murdered in cold blood in Anambra State&comma; yet the &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;peoples’ President” neither visited the family nor issue a single statement in condemnation&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>7&period; Do we now hand over Nigeria to opportunists or inventors of commercial degrees&quest;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>8&period; Had the stained and leaking umbrella of the PDP shaded Obi&comma; would he have ever emerged as the disgruntled representative of the disorganized &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;new movement”&quest;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>9&period; The Nigeria Labour Congress&comma; promoters of Obi’s new-found Labour Party&comma; has become a toothless entity&comma; incapable of prosecuting any meaningful struggle since the advent of the APC administration&comma; which has perfected the egregious style of persecuting or compromising all opposition strongholds&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>10&period; The price for crass opportunism is a principled rejection of all its apostles and beneficiaries&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><em>11&period; I cannot see the benefit for Nigeria in the Obi&sol;Baba-Ahmed stillborn ticket&comma; neither do I discern any marked difference between Atiku&comma; Obi and Tinubu&period; In fact&comma; a decamped or frustrated member of the oligarchy is worse than his masters&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;

Nollywood Actress, Shine Rosman, Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment In Lagos OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about what she describes as ongoing incidents of sexual harassment affecting women in parts of Lagos, particularly in Yaba. She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
