Reasons PDP Candidate, Asue Ighodalo, Has Already Lost 50% Votes In Edo 2024 Guber Contest—Reverend Audu

Reasons PDP Candidate

OpenLife Nigeria reports that a man of God, Reverend {Dr }Abel Audu Michael from Ugieghudu community in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State, has predicted the failure for Asue Ighodalo in the Edo 2024 governorship election.

64 years old Asue Ighodalo, a Nigerian lawyer who hails from Okaigben quarters, Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the September 21 governorship contest.

In one of his campaigns, Ighodalo declared that he would continue from where governor Obaseki stops.

Reacting, Reverend Audu Michael expressed reservations about the outpouring of Ighodalo saying that it blows off the little hopes Edo voters have in PDP.

Reverend Michael Audu, predicts failure for Asue for promising to continue from where Obaseki stops

He noted that Obaseki’s style of governance has been total failure which does not deserve emulation by his successor.

The independent minister of God, who wins souls for Christ without owing a church and collecting tithe and offering, questioned the rationale behind Ighodalo’s remarks which erase confidence in his capacity to govern the state.

The Reverend, among other things, asked Ighodalo if he is going to continue with the case governor Obaseki instituted against the Oba of Benin.

He noted that Ighodalo’s unguided utterance may have robbed him of over 50 percent votes on September 21.

Part of Reverend Audu Michael response to Ighodalo’s statement is reproduced below:

“My brother from the PDP, God bless you sir. In one of your videos that have gone viral, you said you are coming to start from where Obasaki stopped.

“Obaseki was publicly humiliated abroad because of failure in governance. Is that what you are going to continue with? Are you coming to continue with Obaseki’s failure?

Oba Ewuare11 of Benin

“Governor Obaseki took the Oba of Benin to court. Are you saying you are coming to continue with that case against the Oba? Are you saying Obaseki has done well by taking the Oba of Benin to court?

“With that statement, you have lost 50 percent of votes from Edo Kingdom. No Bini voter will vote for you except that person is a bastard or an idiot.

“What has Obaseki done for Edo? You better go and have a rethink. Benin GRA is now like River Niger. Edo people are suffering. Nobody is coming to the poor masses in Edo.

“Benin people are suffering. People are dying. Things are so hard in Benin and Obaseki has not done anything to support them.

“My brother Ighodalo, we have observed that you have not been asking questions about the palliatives released by federal government to support the people against hunger. Or are you not aware? Where are the palliatives in Edo State?

“You have been close to governor Obaseki for several years now. Sometime, you organize a summit for economic development and empowerment but Obaseki has not empowered the people out of hunger and starvation.

“Is that what you are coming to continue with? Please, you need to tell us,” Reverend Audu Michael lamented and requested.
